THE GHOSTWRITER is Michael Cameron.

Michael has been a professional writer for over 30 years. He graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in English and worked in both theatre and television. In addition to working in production and being a freelance director, Michael wrote several stage plays and two musicals in his early career. He later went on to write for Euston Films, Thames Television and BBC TV's drama department.

Twenty years ago he started his own company specialising in writing demo scripts for young actors and actresses; this grew into The Flying Dutchman Company which rapidly became one of the foremost producers of radio commercials, radio documentaries, radio dramas and audio books in the UK. At one point the company was producing over eight hundred radio commercials a year - most of which were scripted by Michael, as were many of the audio books and programmes. For thirteen years the company provided scripts and production facilities to nearly every commercial radio station in the UK, the BBC, publishers such as Hodder Headline and Naxos and blue chip clients such as BT, The Royal Mail and Procter & Gamble.

Michael closed the company in 1999 in order to concentrate on ghostwriting.
